Balancing "New" with "Consistent"
By Joe Ulm
By now, it’s no secret that we’re going to try new things. We want to provide a truly great experience to our players and families, and to do so, we need to innovate. Change too much too quickly though, and the experience doesn’t improve – it becomes something different (and possibly worse). It’s a delicate balance, but it’s one we work hard to hit. Here are just a few of those “New / Consistent” items for this fall…
Consistency | New |
---|---|
Every Select and Academy coach from last year will be coaching with us again this year (woohoo!) | We added 4 new Select and Academy coaches and dozens of new Juniors and Recreational coaches |
Player Excellence kicks off its second full season! | We streamlined the Player Excellence registration process and reserved Wednesdays for Player Excellence activities, club-wide |
TeamSnap returns! | We’ve refined how we communicate via TeamSnap and we’ve made it easier for coaches and team managers to use |
Lati, Cari, Erin, Daniel, Adam and I are all for another great year together! | We’ve adjusted some of the roles and responsibilities of the team to better align with everyone’s skills and strengths |
Over half of our I-Mentors have chosen to participate in the program again this year | We are excited to have a number of new players join us this year |
We’ll have fields at the Sports Complex, Balmer Park, Wagner Park, and Armory Park again this year. | Armory, Wagner, and the Sports Complex will have new field layouts |
And there are many more we could have added to the list…but it’s not volume we’re after – it’s balance.
Stay United everyone!
