The Greatest Success Takes Passion, Skill, & Character
By Joe Ulm
Weston Sprinkel will be playing college soccer with Manchester University next year. If you take a moment to read today’s article about it, you’ll see how passion, skill, and character helped him achieve his success. That’s especially noteworthy because we live in a world where success is celebrated while the work it took to achieve that success is rarely mentioned. Because, of course, what the world sees when we’re successful is our results. That’s it. The world never sees the character it took to keep working hard when things didn’t go well, or the endless work we put in through failure after failure to develop our skill, or the internal passion that helped us push through it all. Only we – and those closest to us – know that story. To the rest of the world, it looks like success “just happened.” But as we know, nothing great happens without significant skill, the character to handle failure, and the passion to keep the dream alive.
On behalf of the entire Untied family…congratulations, Weston. We wish you an amazing career at Manchester United – it is well earned.
