Recreational Manager (Part Time)
Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Recreational Manager is responsible for the “on the ground” work required to run our 9U-15U recreational program in a way that creates the best possible experience for players, coaches, and parents. Soccer experience is encouraged but not required. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Addressing questions and concerns from parents, players, and coaches
- Creating, coordinating, and managing coach/parent access to soccer curriculum
- Building and maintaining a strong rapport with parents, coaches, and players
- Supervising 9U-15U recreational teams
- Assisting in developing team rosters for all recreational teams
- Establishing and communicating practice times and field assignments
- Coordinating team bags, supplies, and apparel for coaches
- Assisting with the acquisition and management of all recreational coaches
- Presenting to recreational parents and coaches twice per year on Club initiatives, coach expectations, Club plans and philosophy, Club processes, etc.
- Attending and leading practices and games as needed
- Evaluating players and tracking progress
- Developing, managing, and reporting on budgets
- Representing the Club with the league by attending meetings and developing schedules
- Monitoring TeamSnap, the Club’s membership communication tool
- Participating in weekly Friday morning meetings with the Club’s leadership team
- Assisting with Club tournaments
- Developing and executing growth plans for the recreational program
- Performing general administrative work and executing on special projects as needed
Responsibilities may fluctuate or change at management’s discretion based on business needs.
Compensation
The Recreational Manager is paid hourly at a rate of $20/hr.
General Working Hours
Hours will fluctuate and will include late afternoons, evenings, and weekends while in season as well as a consistent Friday morning meeting throughout the calendar year.
Athletic Fields Groundskeeper (Part Time)
Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Athletic Fields Groundskeeper is responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving fields at various parks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Designing, measuring, and lining fields by seasonal deadlines
- Operating and calibrating field striping equipment to reline fields and maintain layouts
- Watering fields
- Checking field conditions on game days (by 6AM) and during the week (by 3PM)
- Setting up and tearing down athletic events (benches, markers, flags, goals, trash, etc.)
- Ordering and managing field supplies and equipment
- Coordinating with Parks & Recreational departments of both Pewaukee and Sussex
- Performing corrective and preventative maintenance on equipment
- Any other tasks as assigned
Physical Demands and Expectations
- Standing for extended periods of time as well as extensive amounts of walking
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, grasping, and kneeling
- Ability to work with products accompanied by fumes or odors
- Extended periods of sun exposure
- Moderate lifting from 25 to 50 pounds and moving of up to 100 pounds
- Manual dexterity and repetitive movement of fingers and hands
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Performs all tasks following the recommended operating procedures
Compensation
The Athletic Fields Groundskeeper is paid hourly at a rate of $16/hr or higher based on experience.
General Working Hours
Hours will fluctuate significantly over the course of the year averaging 12-24 hours per week while in season. Specific availability will be required March-November. Sample schedule:
Fall Season
- Jul, Every other Thursday
- Aug-Nov, Every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
Spring Season
- Mar, 2nd & Last Week
- Apr-Jun, Every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

- Applicants should live within 20 miles of the Pewaukee/Sussex area
- A valid driver license and reliable transportation are required
- Previous athletic fields maintenance or groundskeeping experience preferred
