Fall
Player Excellence

PSU Fall Player Excellence is Open to
All Members Registered for the Fall 2021 Season

The opportunity to participate in our fall Player Excellence program is open to all current fall PSU players at no fee. In addition to team training, players can register to participate in our Wednesday night Skilz or Goalkeeper Training as well as Friday night Street Soccer which run year round. With this approach, we believe we provide our players the best possible experience to learn the game and maximize their growth. Expand the training you’re interested in below to learn more. To sign up, simply click the Sign Up button to register through Demosphere.

Two fall sessions will run for five weeks each. Players have the option to participate in one or both sessions. The trainings are designed and run by our highly experienced and licensed coaches.

For any questions, please contact the registrar@pewaukeesussexunited.com.

Open to all our 9U-15U full season players, PSU’s Skilz Training provides players with the opportunity to develop their individual skills in a game-like environment while working with our highly experienced and licensed coaches. Players commit to five weeks of training on Wednesdays.

Skilz participants can choose to work on areas of need and/or strength such as ball mastery, first touch, control pass, 1-on-1 moves, finishing all executed in a game like environment with high degree of decision making. Players are grouped first by gender and then by playing ability to allow for more efficient and effective training.

In addition to developing each player’s technical skills and tactical understanding of the game, we believe cognitive training is equally important.

At Pewaukee Sussex United, we believe in empowering our players to achieve lifelong success through the game of soccer. Our goalkeeping philosophy is no different. Our 9U-19U goalkeepers, like outfield players, will enjoy the same specific training encapsulating key elements of any good program including technical, tactical, physical, psychological, and social. With our younger groups, we will provide a fun, safe environment where improvement of goalkeeping techniques is emphasized. For our older age groups, we will rely more on our cognitive ability and soccer IQ in decision making and other aspects of the mental game.

In our Street Soccer program, players have the opportunity to create their own teams, make their own calls, and unconsciously develop their technical and tactical awareness–all while expressing themselves with the ball at their feet. We believe players should be able to manage themselves and have the freedom to play, interact, problem-solve, innovate, and take ownership of their participation in the game. Teams are created the day of to promote diversity, and games are played without referees to reinforce positive conflict resolution techniques. Our I-Mentor coaches will supervise each field making sure that players and facilities are safe while maintaining a fun and challenging environment.

PSU’s Street Soccer is open to all 9U to 19U players. Our Old School Street Soccer is open to any parent, soccer coach, and their significant others. Bring the whole family!
