Fall 2020 PEP

Next Level Training

Our Player Excellence Program (PEP) was inspired by the belief that empowered, well-rounded individuals are advantaged on the soccer field and in life. It’s why we provide players with opportunities to improve both their soccer skills and their leadership abilities. PSU’s PEP is included with your registration at no additional cost.

We are offering three programs this fall: Skilz Training, Goalkeeping Training, and Street Soccer. Expand the training you’re interested in below to learn more. To sign up, simply expand your desired selection below, click the Sign Up button and fill out the form.

Fall training is 6 weeks (September 8-October 16) and is designed and run by our highly experienced and licensed coaches.

Registration is closed.

Open to all 9U-15U full season players, PSU’s Skilz Training provides the opportunity to develop individual and situational soccer skills by working with licensed, PSU coaches. Players commit to six weeks of training from September 8-October 14 on either Tuesdays or Wednesdays based on gender and U level (see details below).

Skilz participants focus on individual skill improvement such as ball mastery, 1-on-1 moves, finishing, and game-like situations such as ball control, combination play, and crossing/finishing. Players are grouped by age while working through different skills and drills.

In addition to developing each player’s technical skills and tactical understanding of the game, we believe cognitive training is equally important.

In our Street Soccer program, players have the opportunity to create their own teams, make their own calls, and unconsciously develop their technical and tactical awareness–all while expressing themselves with the ball at their feet. We believe players should be able to manage themselves and have the freedom to play, interact, problem-solve, innovate, and take ownership of their participation in the game.

Games are played on small fields with small teams to increase interaction. Teams are created the day of to promote diversity, and games are played without referees to reinforce positive conflict resolution techniques. Our I-Mentor coaches will supervise each field making sure that players and facilities are safe while maintaining a fun and challenging environment.

PSU’s Street Soccer is open to all 9U to 15U full season players. Our Old School Street Soccer is open to any parent, soccer coach, and their significant others. Bring the whole family!

No sign up required. Just lace up and show up!

We have a great group of players participating in this fall’s I-Mentor program. These players will be helping in various areas across the Club including coaching our younger players, maintaining fields, and assisting with our Skilz Training sessions. The program is currently full for the fall, but we still encourage you to reach out if you’re interested as we may have additional openings later this fall. If interested, please e-mail Lati Ziba at: Lziba@pewaukeesussexunited.com.

street soccer

Street Soccer games are played on small fields with small teams to increase interaction. The program is designed to allow players to “just play” the game in a safe, supervised, and minimally interrupted manner. In this way, players can do what they enjoy the most – play soccer – while getting just enough instruction to help them improve their game. Coaches help create teams and all games are played without a referee to reinforce positive conflict resolution techniques. Street Soccer is open to all our 9U – 15U full year players.

Our Old School Street Soccer is open to any parent, soccer coach, and their significant others. Bring the whole family!

We had a blast at this fall’s Friday night Street Soccer. We’re already excited for spring!
