Micro U5/U6

Recreational teams at the U5/U6 level play in an in-house micro league of partial practices and partial scrimmage style games. Play is generally 3 v 3, but will may be modified as needed by the Micro Coordinator.

In-House U7/U8 League

Recreational teams at U7/U8 play in an in-house league 4 v 4 subject to the rules as posted below. These are modified rules used within PSU according to the KINS (Kicking is Not Soccer) philosophy. More details here:

U9-U14 Rec Traveling Teams

Recreational teams from U9 level up are members of the Waukesha Area Recreational Soccer (WARS), and play is governed by rules agreed to by all other WARS clubs. Rules vary based on age group, but emphasize the recreational aspect of play. Current rules for WARS are found here: U9-U14 Rec Teams WARS Rules

WYSA Information

The Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association oversees all soccer programs throughout the state. WYSA oversees coaching certifications and rules for clubs at all levels of play. For more details on the governance of youth soccer in Wisconsin, view the WYSA Policy Manual.

Street Soccer is played on a U10 field and guided by our coaches. It is designed to allow players to “just play” the game in a safe, supervised, and minimally interrupted manner. In this way, players can do what they enjoy the most – play soccer – while getting just enough instruction to help them improve their game. Coaches help create teams and all games are played without a referee to reinforce positive conflict resolution techniques. Street Soccer is open to all our U8 – U19 players and requires signup
