Soccer

Intelligent. Fluid. Creative.

Possession Soccer

We play soccer intelligently, creatively, and distinctly, utilizing possession as a fundamental tool to disorganize our opponents, create numerical advantages, and remain strong defensively. By possessing the ball more than our opponents, we are able to control the game, create opportunities, attack often, and win the ball back quickly after it is lost. Our style of possession play is active, progressive, engaging, and successful.

Additionally, it’s a style of play that encourages creativity and exploration, making it exciting to watch and fun to play.

Most importantly, it’s a style of play that doesn’t discriminate – everyone can play it – and the skills players develop by playing it are fundamental to nearly all other styles of play. This means it can be taught to our youngest players while also setting an ideal foundation for our college-bound players.

Altogether, our style of play is inclusive, relevant, fun, winning, and exciting to watch. Our goal from week to week is to improve the players ability to see the game, make quick decisions and execute plays with pace, power and precision.

street soccer

In our Street Soccer program, players have the opportunity to create their own teams, make their own calls, and unconsciously develop their technical and tactical awareness–all while expressing themselves with the ball at their feet. We believe players should be able to manage themselves and have the freedom to play, interact, problem-solve, innovate, and take ownership of their participation in the game. Teams are created the day of to promote diversity, and games are played without referees to reinforce positive conflict resolution techniques. Our I-Mentor coaches will supervise each field making sure that players and facilities are safe while maintaining a fun and challenging environment.

PSU’s Street Soccer is open to all 9U to 19U players. Our Old School Street Soccer is open to any parent, soccer coach, and their significant others. Bring the whole family!
